Gecko
Geckos have transparent membranes instead of eyelids, can change their skin color, and chirp and interact socially with each other, an unusual ability for a lizard. Geckos have special toe pads that allow them to walk on vertical surfaces or upside-down on ceilings, an often comical attribute well known to human residents of tropical zones worldwide, where geckos often choose inside of houses as their permanent habitat. Usually considered “cute”, geckos are rarely deemed a nuisance because they feed on insects and keep households pest-free.
